THC Bushing Type Floating Tap or Reamer Holder
The
bushing type floating tap holders and reamer holders have a float
sleeve to receive tool bushings, such as THC or 7000 series. This
allows the holder to be used with a multitude of different tool shank
sizes by simply replacing the bushings in the tool sleeve.
The Glenco bushing type floating tool holders are ideal for applications
requiring different tool shank sizes, such as different hole sizes
within a family of parts, on multiple heads, automatics, hand screw
machines, transfer type equipment or any other tapping and reaming
operation.
To change tools, just loosen the set screw and pull the tool out,
or change the bushing for a different size tool, then re-tighten the
set screw.
The tap or reamer firmly gripped on shank by the bushing and driven
by the square for positive drive.
Lines up automatically under load. Provides unrestricted float, corrects
misalignment within 1/32" radius (more on the larger size holders).
Operates perfectly in any position. A seperate holder is required
between collet range sizes
Some models in stock, most with 3-5 week delivery. All models also
available with tension, compression and coolant through options.

Type LE Floating Tool Holders with ACME Shank
Bushing type float sleeve to receive THC or 7000 tap bushings and an ACME adjustable shank for straight ID or automotive type spindles or adapters.
Type J Floating Tool Holders with Straight Shank
Bushing type float sleeve to receive THC or 7000 tap bushings and a straight holder shank for straight ID or automotive type spindles or adapters.
Type I Floating Tool Holders with Morse Taper Shank
